Have you loved someone even after they became just a memory?

Have you ever held on to a memory for too long wishing and hoping?

Have you ever found someone you wanted to share your soul with?

Tell me, have you ever felt your heart break into a million tiny pieces? That deep ache that just wouldn’t go away.

Just the other night, I was reading an article about love and it brought back memories.

Like how you always make pranks on me.

Like how you always tease me about my rough hair.

Like how you slowly introduce me into the soft blues we played together like Enya music’s. What I hated most was blues.

You change my music idea from hip-hop/rap to classical and soft tune music

 Ever since I’ve been a soft blue lover.

You taught me to love whether in good or bad condition.
And that’s why I choose to believe that everything happens for a reason and people come into our life sometimes just for some purpose which is

There’s a lesson in everything. It may not be so obvious to you right now, but one day you’ll look back and realize.

Love doesn’t always go the way we plan sometimes and that’s just the way it is.

  5. ok, I see it is here. so what I wanted to say: it is a beautiful writing and words, but I do not believe love is something that comes from another person. I believe I am love. Love is the energy :)) Energy within

      This is where I love in your comment, “”i do have memories to linger upon but I don’t because i know it will hurt.”” I guess I comply with that statement.
      Some times those sweet memories occupy our mind and make happy each time we reflect. Some one like me who is an introvert I do reflect on those things.

      • That’s actually the reality Patrick.
        We need to move on.
        I have memories of some friends who met me on the way and lest too early but I guess this was my fate. So it would be good if I move on rather than sticking to there thoughts.

  8. Aish, that’s very pretty! And talking about love memories, I had a special someone a long time ago. Sadly, I later found out that they were dating me for petty instead of love, and decided to shut down any contact with them. Now I apologised for being stupid towards them, and we are on good terms tho!

  9. The answer is yes.A big yes Its because I am not programmed. I am not a MP3 player or anything. I will always have those memories and love even after the person is gone. That dosent necessarily means its a good thing. Sometimes I think its a weakness. But I am that. I always fall for those ‘little things’ that I used to have with that certain person 🙂

      • Well I highly doubt we would meet anytime soon in the near future but it’d be nice to catch up and see how much we’ve both changed.

        At that period in time I was pretty sad. As a kid I didn’t like it at all but eventually as I got older I came to terms with reality.

  12. I don’t really have love memory stories to share except as if stacked on a shelf like a library because I’m in a present love. I guess how we relate to past, present and future all depends on what our love status currently is. I cherish all my past lovers and will never stop loving them. But my present love is everything so the exes are no more now than a CD collection or a library stack of books no longer read. I came on here to thank you for liking my post Love’s Communion.

Everytime I see your post PATRICK I so really connect myself with you as having some similar thoughts i guess…I do have memories of friendship of my school friend she was a kind of girl i love to go around however after 10 she went to a different city and we lost all contacts..still MISS U TANYA…but yes the memories are still as refreshed as it happened yesterday only…

  20. My memories are of an effervescent woman-child, 26 when we met, who had me going out the gate and whose side I never left- all those years of struggle, impulsivity on both our parts, intense travel and raising a spirited child together. She wanted at least one more, but it would have killed her, earlier than the disease did. I have no regrets. I stayed at her side, until she left.

      You descriptions of your love memories was a touching story and your beginning was well describe about her as I quote “”My memories are of an effervescent woman-child”””
      I know those memories keep coming to you but you have to hold on to it that life is full of ups and downs. As I read more I found out she left this world despite the struggles as quote “”I stayed at her side, until she left”””

      You are such a great hubby for such patience toward her and you time toward her till she left. You effort was not a waste it just a memories of what you did that matters.

  30. Good article – memories of love tend to lose some of the negatives of a situation or a person and become rose tinted. They also benefit from the wisdom of an older you, more understanding, more experienced, more self aware. I write a lot about love and loss and it’s all a journey – some things in the rear view mirror look better than they were at the time.
