DON’T LOSE YOURSELF

Sometimes I Ponder on these things base on my personal views about life and reality;

Many people lose themselves in search of what is missing in their lives.

Many lose their moral limb while searching for the “missing rib”!

Some lose their health while searching for material wealth.

Some have lost their integrity while looking for wealth.

Don’t lose your mind because the job is lost.

Don’t lose your children while searching for their school fees.

Don’t lose your ministry while searching for tithes and offerings.

Don’t lose your mantle while searching for a title.

When those things are eventually discovered or acquired, greater things (yourself, relationship, character, values & virtues) would have probably dissolved!

When you eventually hammer that deal, will your nail still be strong enough to hold the woods of your integrity in a proper frame?

By the time you get popular, will you not be strange to dignity?

By the time you get that visa or fame, will your passport to purity not have been torn?

When you eventually make the money, will your marriage/friendship/relationships still have meaning?

 

In the process of losing yourself remember this two powerful things

      • So many times. Sometimes losing yourself feels like the easier way as opposed to let’s say “losing a child or marriage”

        Having gone through my own ordeal. I had to face that decision head on. I chose to rebuild myself and I’ve never looked back since.

      • Yea felt like that quite long back.. but now i don’t feel like that anymore. I’ve become more and more positive soul. I rarely feel depressed now 😊😊✨❤

  11. It’s funny–I used to think I’d lose my mind if I lost certain things, especially my job. I had the opportunity (never thought I’d use that word) to experience job loss recently. I had one day of fear, most attached to losing health insurance since I have a very expensive chronic condition.

    After one day, I discovered that I had more opportunity than I had ever imagined. I had time and energy to work on relationships that had suffered. I had more time to do what I loved–writing. I wasn’t sure how to make it all work, but I didn’t worry– after that first day–that I would.

    I experienced, on a very small scale, what my life could be like after such a loss. And I was joyful.

    It was temporary; I was reinstated a week later. But it certainly granted the perspective that I was so sorely lacking.

    I’m looking to life after loss of job again, and working towards that.

    What i loved here so much was when you said “”I discovered that I had more opportunity than I had ever imagined.”” This touched and melted my heart.

    Everyday is always an opportunity to be blessed if you are a positive minded person.

    I felt bad when you said about you Job loss. I have been in such situation, but moving on was not easy. I understand what you felt.

    Again sorry for that chronic disease. Not easy combining such with your job loss that period.

    As i read,i was comparing the first statement ( funny;I used to think l;d lose my mind if I lost certain things, especially my job.) and the other statement (It was temporary; I was reinstated a week later).
    Inside the statements, i found out you were a positive minded person. Keep it up.

      • Losing oneself seems easier than facing the ordeal face to face. I think most of us tend to fear about the results .
        But then as I said everything happens with a reason. And life has to go on as this shall pass with time.
        The best gift to a person is being strong and be a winner to themselves.
